Bible Scriptures On Peace To Comfort And Uplift Your Spirit
The following inspirational Bible verses on peace will remind you that it is possible to have peace in your mind and it will teach you how to live in peace with those around you.
We All Want A Peaceful Mind, Don’t We?
It is one of those things that money can’t buy, but ironically enough, it’s actually “free”. Yes, it won’t cost you anything in dollars, but it might take up some of your time and effort. Time to do what? Study the Word of God and time to pray. If we know God better and grow closer to Him, you can enjoy one of the benefits: P-E-A-C-E! There’s just one “catch” – you must want to do it. Pray to God to place that desire in your heart. If you nearer to Him, He will nearer to you.
The following Bible verses on peace are to comfort those who have trouble to sleep peacefully at night:
Lev. 26:6
“I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will wake you afraid; …”
Psalm 3:5
“I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.”
Psalm 4:8
”I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Short explanation :
If you cannot sleep because of things bothering your mind or because of anxiousness, also read Phil 4:6 which states that we can pray and place our burdens in God’s hands. Prayer and Peace often go hand in hand.
Peace is a gift from God. In John 14:27 Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” This scripture confirms that the Lord alone can give us a peaceful mind.

-(This Bible verse from the Beatitudes is probably one of the most famous Bible verses on peace. It is also Jesus’ own words. I’ve once read that “Peace is not always the absence of conflict.” To be a ‘peacemaker’ is hard work, but if you practice ‘peacemaking’, you will be blessed as Jesus promises in this scripture.)-
Eph. 4:3
”…endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
-(We need the Holy Spirit to lead us in unity. We must be willing to be led and we must do our part to keep the peace. If there is peace, there will also be unity in a group of fellow believers.)-
2 Pet. 1:2
”Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”
-(As you read in the introductory paragraph of this page – we need to truly study God’s Word and the Holy Scriptures to obtain peace in our lives. True peace comes from God.)-
Isaiah 41:10
”Fear not, for I am with you; be not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
-(What a comforting, inspiring verse! God will help us – also when we have negative thoughts. He will show us how to think like Him, and in this way we will become more and more like Him.)-
