Yes, you’re right! From ice-cream sticks to a home made puzzle in 5 easy steps! |
Bug Crafts that make a great Sunday School Project. |
These Ladybug Bug Crafts are always a favourite, even for use in your homeschool.
|
By doing bug crafts with your children, it creates an opportunity to talk to them about the amazing way that God created the earth and every tiny living thing on it.
Bring across the message that God created him/her in the same way He created the ladybug, bee, etc. That God only made good things and that He made us part of His big plan that He had for the world.
The 4 designs on this page (a caterpillar, bee, locust and ladybug) are painted on popsicle sticks and can be used as a puzzle afterwards. Kids just love them!
Here's an opportunity to recycle - start collecting those ice-cream sticks for this one!
Here's what you need:
- popsicle sticks (ice-cream sticks) - you need about 17X9mm sticks or 9X18mm sticks
- sticky tape or masking tape
- carbon paper
- some craft paint
- beaded eyes (optional)
Follow these steps:
1 - Place popsicle sticks in a neat row and tape together at the back like this:

2 - Print out these 4
bug craft designs
(they are all on one page)
3 - Turn over the taped sticks and copy your chosen design onto the sticks. Use the carbon paper for doing this. See picture below:

4 - Now paint your picture and let it dry.
5 - Remove the tape and build your home made bugs puzzle!
