This coloring page was created with an entrance (like a door) in mind - the entrance to Jesus' grave. This then forms the outline of the picture. Inside the this "door" is the cross, symbolic of Jesus' death and resurrection. The flowers on the side reminded me of the simplicity of the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Flowers bring joy and when they bloom in Spring, a newness sets in - just like the day when you realise that Christ makes everything new as He enters your heart.
Many times we see these pretty stained glass windows in the big cathedrals and with this in mind, I created this coloring page of the cross.
Use this coloring picture during Easter as part of your Easter activities for children. But as Christians, we are supposed to celebrate Easter the whole year round, so feel free to use them whenever they come in handy.
