How To Make A Bookmark ?

3 Easy Steps To Create Stunning Bookmarks

How to make a bookmark using food coloring!

how to make a bookmark

This is a bookmark for your Bible. First practise making one for yourself and then try some of our other cool ideas...

Here's what you need:

  • color crayons
  • food coloring
  • paint brush
  • pair of scissors
  • some paper glue
  • sheet of colored paper

Remember The Following:

  • Don't cut out anything before you finished painting and don't worry about painting over the lines... when you cut out the bookmark afterwards, everything looks super smart!
  • If your paper is a little wobbly because of the wet paint, once it's dry - press it flat by leaving it under a heavy pile of books for a while. (Do another bookmark while waiting for this one to straighten out!)

Follow These 3 Easy Steps:

1 - Print out your original bookmark design-template.

2 - Color in the picture with wax crayons and brush over with food coloring water (take a small bowl of water and add a few drops of food coloring). Let everything dry.

3 - Cut out and glue to colored paper.

Done!

Use white wax crayon or a white candle or even a white pastel to write your name. Paint over with food coloring water. The back of your bookmarks may look something like this:

Cool Ideas

Bookmark Template For Yourself Or Your Best Friend
Bookmark Template For Your Neigbor
Bookmark Template For Your Teacher
  • Bless your friend with one of your bookmark masterpieces. Use the same template as for your own bookmark.
  • Surprise your neigbor and drop him a bookmark in his letterbox. Add a small handmade gift like a dozen of cookies. Cool gift... and it's "just because"
  • Put in some extra effort and create a bookmark with your own thank your message to thank your school teacher at the end of your term or school year or "just because..." Your efforts count much more than any expensive gift and your teacher will feel so special.
