Inspirational Bible Verses from the Book of Psalms

inspirational verse from Psalms

Psalm 22:11

"Be not far from me, for trouble is near; for there is none to help."

-(We do not need to be in trouble! Once you've experienced God's love, your life will have a purpose. To do some further reading/study on God's love for you, here are some Bible Verses about love. (God's Love)

Psalm 30:2-3
“O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.”

-( When you study the Word of God, it gets a place in your mind and it influences the way you are thinking and your behavior is controlled by God, because the Word is God. Thus you’ll experience upliftment and your whole lifestyle will become inspired by God Himself.)-

Psalm 34:18-19
“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

-(God can restore your heart by removing your anger. We cannot do His works when we walk around angry!)-

Psalm 118:17 I shall not die, but live.”

-(No matter how we have messed up in the past, we can still change and live a meaningful life that is pleasing to God.)-

Inspirational Bible Verses On Contentment

I want to invite you with a challenge: come, let us exchange our pity-parties for a feast to celebrate our ability to be content. Stop worrying over things you cannot control.

A good type of contentment is to be happy with what you have, to appreciate what you have and to be thankful. The other end can be dangerous – we can become stale in our Christian lives if we do not strive for more and just be content with the amount of growth we have experienced up to now. We should always be aware that we must be dependent on God.

Gen. 33:8-9
”Then Esau said, ‘What do you mean by all this company which I met?’ And he said, ‘These are to find favor in the sight of my lord.’ “

-(Esau had already forgiven Jacob and had already felt happiness and contentment. He did not need any other gifts. It’s impossible to have unforgiveness and bitterness in your heart, and at the same time you tell yourself that you’re content. The two are opposites.

Eccles. 5:19-20
”As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor – this is the gift of God. For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.”

-(We should receive and view our earthly blessings not as our only wealth, but we should be equally grateful for the wisdom and other unseen gifts which are bestowed upon us.)-

1 Tim 6:6
”Now godliness with contentment is great gain.”

-(If our religion is true and we have a living relationship with God, it should be enough to make us content. This is the only thing that can make us content – not things like a big house, a fast car or take away foods three times per week, no!)-

Inspirational Bible Verses On Blessings

Blessings can be given, but blessings can also be received. Who gives blessings and what are those blessings? I believe that God is certainly the main giver of blessings like joy, peace, abundance, freedom, health and life itself – to only name a few. The biggest blessing of all times? To have a personal relationship with God.

If we have this blessing, we can pray for others and give praise to others. You have to receive in order to give.

Gal. 6:9
”And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

-(We should live in an attitude of expectancy. Our blessing shall be one of victory if we refuse to become discouraged, faithless, loveless and stingy. God’s season can be now, or it can take a few years; even a lifetime. We know for certain that:

  • God has His own timing of when to harvest
  • God’s harvest will never be too early or too late, just at the right time
  • it will be a good harvest if the seeds sown were good too
  • if we continue to expect, we’ll receive – There will be a harvest!)-
