Kids are constantly pushing their boundaries. The reason for this is that our children long for a place of safety. They are looking for some space where they know what to expect and where they belong. A secure spot.

I'm sure that you as parents experience this "search" and "pushing of boundaries" from your children on a daily basis. Therefore it is so important to give them a sense of spiritual security, because all their perceptions of life and ideas about their immediate environment starts out in their minds. How do we do give them this security? By studying the Word of God together with our children.

Since our kids are so 'wise' thesedays, they will probably want to know why Bible Study is necessary at all.

Here is how you can explain to your children why Bible Study is necessary.

Why should we read the Bible if we are already saved?

• God's plan is growth.
• We need to be in His presence to prevent landing on the wrong track.
• We need to read the whole Word of God.
• The most important thing is that our minds should be renewed.
• We must be ready and able to answer others when questioned.

Scripture reading to staff these points:

2 Pet 2:2 "As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby."

2 Pet 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;"
